26-28 Motorclassica,Royal
Exhibition Building, Nicholson Street, Carlton VIC 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Now in its third year RACV Motorclassica has established itself on the
Australian Auto calendar as the year's most important event for
classic, vintage and veteran enthusiasts. But it's not all about the
cars. RACV Motorclassica has something for everyone and every taste -
for those serious collectors right through to those experiencing
classic motoring for the very first time.Featuring more than 120 cars
and 50 motorcycles competing in the Australian International Concours
d'Elegance, 100+ trader stands, 400+ display cars at Picnic with the
Classics, special guests, a parade through the Melbourne CBD, an
Automotive Art Show and an auction of collector cars and bikes, RACV
Motorclassica brings you three full days of entertainment. Where no one
day is quite the same as the next, the displays on show will never be
repeated, due to the event's non-return policy for competing cars and
motorcycles. So, whether you are an afficionado of the beauty, style and
design of the motor car or the rugged, visceral performance of the
motorcycle we look forward to seeing you there.

27-28 Tallangatta
Fifties Festival,
Towong Street, Tallangatta VIC 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM Tallangatta is
located on the shores of picturesque Lake Hume in North East Victoria
(40kms from Albury/Wodonga). The township was relocated in the 50's and
still resembles a typical town of that era. The Lakeside town has a
population of 1000 however, on the last Sunday in October the number
sky rockets to over 5000. Rock and Rollers and 50’s enthusiasts and
families from all over Australia slick their hair back, throw on their
blue suede shoes and jump in their Chevy’s for a real good Rock and
Roll weekend. This year is our 13th anniversary and we are proud to
have “Frankie J Holden” & Wilbur Wilde and Melbourne Band “ The
Fender Benders”. On Sunday, the whole town is jumping! Visitors can
enjoy jam sessions, dance performances, market stalls, classic cars, a
fifties fashion parade, memorabilia from the Laminex table era, various
busking styles of the 50’s, the arts and a real slice of life in the
50’s. There’s merry go round and pony rides for the children and a
great range of other exciting activities which include Dodgem cars,
Harley rides, Helicopter rides, a 50’s side show alley and much more!
Some of Australia's finest classic cars and motorbikes gather along the
main street of Tallangatta to talk engines, show and shine and, for
some enthusiasts, their classics work like chick magnets reminding them
of days in the 1950s. Cars to arrive up to 10:30am Sunday. Judging from
11am to 1pm. Results 2.00pm. Admission $15 entry fee paid at the gate
includes 2 adults per car. The classic cars section is the highlight of
the festival and we look forward to a bigger and better display this
year. Accommodation limited, caravan park available, show grounds
available, some water and power. http://www.tallangattafifties.com.au/
