Peninsula Cruise Night - January 2010
Street rods & chrome bumpers cars must love to sunbake, because every time the sun’s shining and the air warm they come out in droves! A traditional summers evening bought out over 400 cars and over a thousand enthusiasts and their family’s to enjoy another Peninsula Cruise Night at the Lifestyle Centre in Mornington. They travelled from Greenvale, Essendon, Hoppers Crossing and even central Queensland to enjoy the diverse range of cars on display. The BBQ was a sell out, the cafe’ was kept busy and the LGC team managed to give away lots of prizes. LGC Cruiser Matt took home a very comfortable ‘flamed’ bar stool, and four other entrants carried off a bag full of goodies each.
Colin White from Mordialloc was chosen as the Best Presented winner for having his ’32 Ford roadster in top condition. He collected around $200 worth of car care products to help him keep it this way.
The main item on the agenda tonight was the drawing of the Make a Wish trailer raffle conducted in the centre over Christmas. The $5000 prize was won by a local resident who is in NZ at present. They have a nice surprise when they return home shortly. Our thanks to everyone who contributed to the prize pool or who bought a ticket. The funds raised will be well utilized by the local committee of Make a Wish.
