Cruise Night - September 2015
At Last!! Some sunshine on a 1st Tuesday of the month!
The first day of Spring and a sunny day morphed into a cool evening and out they came. I think it’s pretty clear that Melbourne car enthusiasts are over the 2015 Winter. Not only has Let’s Go Cruisin experienced its longest run of poor weather for our cruise nights but most car events event held over the winter months, the weather has been pretty ordinary. Hopefully it’s behind us and we can all get out cruisin’.
It was great to see the Homemaker Centre’s car park filling up after 5 o’clock ending up with 160+ cool rides. I’m glad we don’t do trophies. What a nightmare trying to select winners from this lot.
Dave picked up the $100 Cruiser draw. Long time cruise night regular, Geoff picked the first of the gate raffle prizes to add to his collection of ACDelco & Meguiar’s products on his garage shelf. Two more happy winners went home with the same prize packs.
The cherry on the top for the night was Mick Patty’s new 427 SOHC powered ’32 coupe having one of its first outings power parking next to the LGC tear drop. Now if we can convince Mick to fit a tow bar, what a neat combo that’d make cruisin’!
You will probably start to see some construction taking place at the centre in October so be cool as we attempt to work around any constraints it throws up.
Here’s some photos from Graeme Hutson.
