Cruisin’ Photos

Cruise Night - December 2015

1st Tuesday in December and for the first time in 8 years we broke with tradition and didn’t host our Santa Cruz event. We decided to hold it over to this coming Sunday, driven by the loss of car parking at the centre due to planned building works. Another Hmmm! Well the works haven’t commenced just yet, sounds more like late January, so at least we’ll have a full car park available and the latest weather forecast is better than Tuesday’s. Fingers crossed.

If it seemed strange to you not being Santa Cruz it was to us as well. With the night falling on the 1st day of summer we could also expect for some warmer weather. Hmm! Unfortunately not, again! At least the forecaster got it mostly right. We did get a cool change mid afternoon they promised us. It did bring a cool breeze and it did rain right on 6:30 just when we were all enjoying ourselves. At least we didn’t get the hail they claimed might be lurking later in the evening. Be thankful.

So it was business as usual and busy it was. Even with a pretty average weather forecast it didn’t deter 200+ car owners from cruisin in for another evening of socializing that car enthusiasts do best. The cafe was full every time I tried to get in, there was a steady line at the Mt Martha Rotary BBQ and the LGC girls were busy registering entrants for upcoming events.

We bought forward the cruiser and gate raffle prize draws early when the ski’s opened up and found winners for the Cruiser $100 and the 3 ACDelco & Meguiar’s goody bags. Pity about the rain, it seemed that we were all just settling in for another good evening cruisin in our favourite cars.

Here’s some photos taken by our roving photographer Graeme.

Hope to see you all back this Sunday for Santa Cruz. Should be great!

Safe cruisin’.
