Cruise Night - September 2019
What a great way to kick off another cruise night season on Tuesday night. After a cold, windy and all round pretty ordinary winter, the 1st Tuesday of September was about as good as you can hope for in the 1st week of Spring. It was nice to catch up with familiar faces lined up to subscribe for another year as Cruisers. You certainly kept Kerin & Jan busy all night. Thanks again for the support you show us when taking out another subscription. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to get our annual newsletter emailed out before last Tuesday. Our Laptop PC decided to have a major melt down at the wrong time and we’re in the process of trying to get it up and going. Hopefully you’ll see it shortly. A copy of this email is available to read on our web site on the Cruisers page. If you renewed your subscription on Tuesday night, please ignore the request for renewal which is part of the email.
Back to the night. 150 + cars [and great cars they were]. Lots of people enjoying being out amongst them, catching up with old acquaintances and making some new ones.
With the sun dropping early we hosted the Cruiser draws and gate raffles at 6:30 as the sun [and temperature] dropped. Chev’s Performance Centre dyno tune voucher found a new owner as did the $100 in cash to a Cruiser that renewed that night and is now $80 in front.
Gate raffle prizes consisted of car care products from ACDelco & Meguiar’s were quickly claimed by winners and our cruise season is off to a good start.
The Sunday following the next cruise night in October is Oct 6th and we’re hosting another ‘Welcome to Daylight Saving’ cruise & lunch. Cruise departs the Sober Mule at Peninsula Home at 11:30am. No charge, no hassles just fun & food.
See y’all next month. Happy cruisin.
Here’s a few photos from Shelley.
